Goals For the Sick at Heart

There, that sounds really inviting, doesn’t it? It’s happening to me. Last week, I was a bit off track. Sick but not really ill. I have been taking longer naps in the afternoon, sometimes even going back to bed in the morning, not long after I’ve awakened. So, does that qualify as a nap when it's so early in the day, or are you just returning to sleep from the night before?
In any case, my forward-looking progress on all my little goals has not exactly screeched to a halt, but it has come to a slow space, at least for the moment.
The question is, for me, is this severe enough to be alarmed about? People take breaks all the time. People take vacations all over the world. My husband and I did. Not lately, anyway. We would go to Yosemite. Initially, we were both working, and so the time we could spend there was limited to no more than three days at a time. After that, we just needed to get back to our work life.
Then, I began preparing for retirement. It was a good opportunity for me to take some time off and let everybody else fend for themselves at work. Sort of like dumping everybody in the pool and walking away from their screams. Were they of terror or fun? I suppose it would depend on who you were talking to.
