Meyawn

I Need a Nap

This kitty just woke up. She’s still a little tired and she yawned. But she also greeted you with a meow. Hence, the meyawn.

In my house, the cat language can cover a lot of ground. There is meow which is the most commonly spoken vocalization. You can meow, “Good morning”. You can meow, “Where is my breakfast?” You can meow, “How come he gets more than me?”

You can also make your wishes known silently. All it takes is a sidelong glance to alert Millie to the idea that Molly is going to make a move on her breakfast.

But the best one of all is the Meyawn. Now, you see it. Yes, it is meow and a yawn at the same time. It is especially good when accompanied by a nice stretch.
